Job Summary:
The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial environments. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or leading apprentices on job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Run and bend conduit (EMT, Rigid, etc.).
- Pull and terminate wire.
- Install panels, breakers, lighting, and devices.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes and safety regulations.
- Supervise and mentor apprentices as needed.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites.
Requirements:
- Active Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR if in Texas).
- Minimum 3+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical safety standards.
- Experience bending conduit and reading blueprints.
- Ability to work nights or weekends if required.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in low-voltage systems.
- Experience working in active commercial environments (airports, hospitals, etc.).
- OSHA certification.
